Abstract

This chapter begins with an overview of the role, strengths, and limitations of child and adolescent self-report measures as part of the assessment process. Commonly used self-report omnibus rating scales are discussed in detail, including their development, content, norm sampling, strengths, and weaknesses. The chapter also notes the emergence of validity scales in child/adolescent self-report measures and their utilization in clinical settings.
