Abstract
I once visited a very good school where the headmaster concentrated on getting his pupils interested in running a large vegetable garden. It was a fine garden and the children were obviously enjoying their craft. I asked the master if he had time to tell them anything about animals and he answered: ‘Oh yes, I teach them that animals are pests!’
