Abstract
The final chapter gives a brief summary by highlighting elements of the book through an examination of how the sources consulted help us rethink assumptions and re-examine the details of everyday lives in classrooms. This chapter also allows for an opportunity to reconsider how we might adopt more historically conscious ways of approaching the educational spaces we inhabit and act in a manner that shapes more equitable educational opportunities for all students. As a result, what emerges is a challenge to engage in a dynamic professional practice that connects teachers across time and place through the creative nature of their work allowing for the past to inform and shape the present and the future in historically conscious educational spaces.
