Abstract
Before you travel, you (hopefully) pause to think about what to pack for such a trip. You check the weather report, develop a plan for what you want to see and experience, book hotels, transportation and events, make appointments, and if on business, prepare presentations, reports and so forth, so that you hit the ground running and optimize your time and pleasures. If an experienced traveler, you pull out your suitcase and fill it with the minimal amount clothing appropriate for this trip. You set expectations for what you want to accomplish consistent with what makes you happy and productive. That means knowing your tastes, and in our case, who you are. This chapter is a traveler’s perspective about how to keep up with the issues presented in this book; it is presented as a traveler’s guide because no topic discussed before has come to an end, so, as long as you live you will be on a journey imposed upon you that you will share with in the evolution of the human race and computing. How might you make such a trip productive and interesting?
