Abstract

There is a variety of infectious diseases around the world, both endemic and seasonal, with different types of spread, such as zoonoses and bioterrorism, among others. Several infectious diseases, either in the majority of the population or in vulnerable groups, can be life-threatening; so they may require hospitalization and care in the intensive care units (ICUs). Being able to surpass the capacity of response to the supersaturation of these units, cataloged as well as a disaster of infectious diseases. It is intended to propose ideas in the formation of crisis response teams, foreseeing the sudden increase in the demand of the ICUs.
