Abstract

In the third year architecture studio, three modules of a large project have been given to students. Module 1 was called “Replication”. It was a guided precedent study of selected buildings, but the students were asked to specifically explain the gravity and the lateral load flow in the precedent building. They did this with models, figures and to a lesser extent with computer analyses.
