Abstract

Endoleak types IV and V are very rare today, and all other types of endoleak need to be ruled out before this diagnosis is made. Patients on antiplatelet or anticoagulant medication can have an endoleak type IV, which is self-limited and usually disappears spontaneously. Endoleak type V is very rare, and its treatment options include relining with a new stent graft or, in some cases, open surgery. In this chapter, the occurrence and treatment of endoleak types IV and V are described through use of three examples.
