Abstract

The management of water resources involves multiple decision-makers, each with their own perspectives on the way the decision problem should be tackled. This Chapter presents an illustration of the framework for choosing a VP for a water resources management problem. The application is based on the Morais and de Almeida (Omega (Oxford) 40:42–52, 2012) group decision model to support the choice of an alternative to stem and reverse the degradation of the hydrographic basin of the Jaboatão River, Pernambuco-Brazil.
