Nutritional and Metabolic Wellness

As the past century has experienced a human phenotypic transition from lean, physically active, whole foods, and low-toxin lifestyle to an overweight, increased body fat deposition, more sedentary, processed foods, and increased toxin exposure lifestyle, the concept of “normal” has evolved away from what human potential is possible. Human societies tend to accept the current health normality as the accepted norm and misconstrue what the true plumb line of wellness can be. This chapter examines evidence for the potential of human wellness in the twenty-first century and realigns the plumb line of human wellness to what should be the basis for global healthcare and public education.
