Abstract
This chapter allows us to show the evolution of hysteroscopy in pregnancy since the first report of Björn in 1954. Special mention is made to the publication of Oscar Agüero in 1966 where for the first time the title of “a new diagnostic tool” was given to hysteroscopy, in a time when there was no ultrasound allowing diagnosis of placenta previa, hydrops fetalis, fetal death, or many other conditions. Later, for several decades hysteroscopy was only used for intrauterine device removal. Even when contraindicated after the second trimester of pregnancy, over time, other diagnoses and pathological conditions have been included, such as pathologies associated with pregnancy or during pregnancy itself.
