Abstract
The bioecological approach presents epistemological links with contextual, ecological thinking and with the systemic paradigm. Although Bronfenbrenner does not develop his model within this paradigmatic field, it is understood that the articulation of the epistemological bases in which the knowledge is generated is an essential requisite for the continuous reconstruction of a certain field of knowledge, theory, or model. By the systemic logic involved, by the terminological set inherent to it, the PPCT model and the Ecological Engagement proposal inspire and induce possibilities of a reorganization of paradigmatic axis. This chapter attempts to demonstrate the link between the Ecological Engagement method and the systemic paradigm. Based on this link, certain commitments and postures are stated, among them is the relationship between research participants and research team and the role of the research team in the production of knowledge. In the end, taking the example of a research developed with riverside populations, a methodological strategy denominated Collective Construction of Knowledge (CCK) is exposed.
