Abstract
Understanding basic personal finance and investment concepts is an important skill for physicians, who are in the top 5% of US wage earners. This chapter will discuss the concept of risk and reward and will discuss stocks, bonds, and derivatives. The importance of having a diversified portfolio will be discussed as will the concept of money.
