Abstract

Theoretical and experimental studies performed in Laboratory of Geomechanics of Ishlinsky Institute for Problems in Mechanics RAS have demonstrated that the geomechanical approach may serve as the basis for solving the most important problems arising during the development of oil and gas fields: ensuring the stability of wellbores during drilling and operation, increasing the productivity of oil and gas wells, and increasing oil and gas recovery from reservoirs
