Abstract

This article presents a generalized method for calculating of switching processes in high-frequency switched-mode power supply converters.

The purpose of the article is to investigate a novel detailed calculation algorithm, which takes into account influence of converter elements parameters on commutation processes. The calculation method of electromagnetic processes is given on example of a boost switched-mode converter driven by pulse-width modulation. An operational cycle of switched-mode converter was divided into intervals, each of which had a linearized model with a specific main transistor switch parasitic parameters. According to a compiled equivalent substitution circuits, the currents and voltages expressions were calculated for corresponding elements of the circuit, and then the power and energy losses in transistor switch were also calculated.
