Abstract
This chapter draws on the conceptual material of the previous chapters to assess the relative inclusion of women in the Kosovo and Northern Ireland Assemblies using the adapted Galligan/Clavero framework. The legislatures are assessed in terms of descriptive representation and substantive representation. This includes the impact is factors such as the quotas for women in Kosovo and gender stereotyping in both settings. The analysis demonstrates how the conflict paradigm crowds out issues the differentially impact upon women and the dominance of male conflict elites.
