Abstract

Insurance is a concept that most of us have, at best, mixed feelings about. It’s a necessary evil. Necessary, yes, as we understand that risks—natural disasters, and to a certain extent fires, floods, and accidents are out of our control. And of course if you’re in business, the risks are magnified. Trading a few premium cents in exchange for dollars, should a claim arise, makes financial sense.
