Abstract
This short Afterword reflects upon the historical nature of the book’s enquiries into the way in which mobilities of different kinds may be seen to both generate, and sustain, our intimate relationships, and also reflects upon how the various ‘limit points’ represented by the late twentieth-century (in terms of transport and communication, in particular) may be used to help illuminate the way in which, post-millennium, our intimate and familial relationships are undergoing radical change.
