Abstract

This paper is about the study and simulation of a single-phase grid connected photovoltaic system. Maximum power point tracking with DC-DC boost converter and a single phase full-bridge DC-AC converter are the main parts of this system. To obtain the maximum power from the photovoltaic system, fuzzy logic controller has been applied. After the DC boosting stage the DC link voltage is connected with a single phase full-bridge inverter in order to be converted in AC voltage source, which is coupled with the single phase grid. The switching control of this inverter is done by an additional fuzzy logic controller (FLC). A Sinusoidal Pulse width modulation (SPWM) is used to switch the transistors used in the full-bridge inverter. A phase locked loop (PLL) technique use the voltage grid as reference to generate an estimated phase angle in order to have synchronization between the grid and the inverter. MATLAB Simulink has been used to get the simulations results.
