Abstract
The preliminary photoionization simulations of gas illuminated by radiation field have shown that for a given \(L_\mathrm{ion}/ \xi \) ratio, it is hard to find overall differences in transmitted spectrum for large range of gas densities. Only the line ratios of particular transitions may put additional constraints on the value of gas density and therefore on the wind location. This result has led researchers to assume constant density (CD) clouds in any photoionization calculations. However, in the recent modelling of absorbing as well as emission gas in AGN environment, the clouds in hydro-static equilibrium are also used. In this Chapter, I investigated the influence of gas density on the overall structure of CD and constant pressure CD cloud. A detailed comparison between CD and CP individual cloud is done, and all possible solutions of hydro static equilibrium are considered.
