Abstract

Patients with X-linked agammaglobulinemia (XLA) have additional risk for autoimmune disorders

Arthritis is the most common rheumatologic manifestation in boys with XLA and is reported in 15–20% of patients

Immunosuppressive therapy for arthritis worsens immunodeficiency and contributes the development of severe infections. Early diagnosis and proper treatment may help optimize clinical outcomes for these patients
