Abstract

Management Science and Engineering Management (MSEM) has significantly contributed to management and control process developments in both the economy and the society. In this paper, we first describe the basic concepts covered in the 13th ICMSEM proceedings Volume II, after which we conduct a review of engineering management (EM) research to identify the key areas, the most widely discussed research areas for which have been project management, supply chain management and organizational strategy. After an analysis of the key research achievements in the three areas, the related research studies in Proceedings Volume II are described. The research trends from both MSEM journals and the ICMSEM are then summarized using CiteSpace. As always, we strive to provide researchers with an international forum through ICMSEM for academic exchanges and communication.
