Abstract

Despite its origins in antiquity, anatomy will continue to grow in the future. It is a dynamic bicycling that is always moving and changing. In pediatric orthopedics, embryology holds the basics. Anatomy is in place from 3 months into uterine life. Growth is a volumetric revolution. Growth is not linear. Early onset scoliosis manifests as a cardiorespiratory disease. Scoliosis is difficult to control. Crankshaft phenomenon is major preoccupation. Arthrodesis blocks growth of the spine. Balance of the spine is key. Spinal deformity is a long-life disease.
