Abstract
Pain arising from pelvis may be difficult to diagnose due to the complex innervation of the visceral and somatic structures. Persistent acute noxious stimuli in the pelvis, as in other regions of the body, can lead to development chronic pelvic pain. Chronic pelvic pain constitutes a constellation of poorly understood complex disorders that are often non-responsive to conventional therapies. Neuromodulation has been used to provide pain relief to patients in whom injections with steroid/local anesthetics are unhelpful.
