Abstract
Pain medicine can be extremely challenging, and the wide array of patient responses and reactions to the numerous agents available can limit their use. Often, several medications will need to be combined in order to produce a satisfactory outcome. This chapter will cover several classes of medications that may be employed as a part of a multimodal analgesic regimen for a variety of pain states.
