Abstract

In this chapter, I present my argument that there is a danger that blame games dominate the accountability phase following a crisis, thereby negatively affecting the learning process as actors will be less inclined to share information. To ensure a more balanced accountability phase, it is important to better understand how blame games work because a better management of the blame game will allow more room to learn from the crisis. The chapter concludes with an outline of the book.
