Abstract
This chapter elaborates on the reference governor synthesis for a closed-loop system involving a relay-based (on/off) controller. First, we introduce the mathematical formulation of the control law describing the behavior of a relay-based controller. Second, we introduce the design of the MPC-based reference governor as a mixed-integer optimization problem.
