Bariatric Surgery: An Overview

Abstract

Recently, the so-called robotic surgery – performing laparoscopic surgery with the aid of mechanical arms controlled remotely by the surgeon – has emerged as the next step in the evolution of laparoscopic surgery. Its application in gastric bypass surgery is being evaluated.
