Abstract
From the perspective of an Asian American early career professional, the field of psychology influences the impact of the social and cultural development in individual’s upbringing, especially for immigrant families. In understanding the community context of culture and peace, the underlying question being asked in this chapter is to address the immigrant conversations of cultural psychology in relation to community and family relationships. With this interest of my immigrant culture, the chapter serves to be a theoretical literature review of past and present publications as well as my reflections toward the gap of research directing to future directions. Stemming from both scholar and practitioner standpoints, the outlook for future research and relevant program services aim to address the elements of challenges. The challenges are to note the importance of the peace, community, and cultural psychology and its influence on societal development.
