Abstract
According to the functional requirements of smart substation, the problem of the traditional air-cooled control system using the electromagnets and programmable logic controller (PLC) is analyzed. The basic framework of intelligent transformer cooling control system is put forward, and based on advanced electronic technology the intelligent monitoring device is developed in this paper. The system could monitor the status of transformer cooling system, and upload the information to the integrated supervision and control system of smart substation. In addition, it can control the fan to make the transformer within a suitable temperature range. Generally the system could improve the efficiency of operation and maintenance, and ensure the safety and stable operation of the transformer.
