Abstract
Musculoskeletal infection of both children and adults commonly assumes a greater frequency and significance in Low Income Countries (LICs) as compared to High Income Countries (HICs). Adults with osteomyelitis commonly present with subacute or chronic disease from (1) reactivation of childhood chronic osteomyelitis, (2) open fractures, or (3) as a complication of musculoskeletal surgery.
