The Memristor: Theory and Realization
Memristor is a two-terminal passive element. Even though the behavior of the memristor was investigated for two centuries ago, the concept of the memristor as the fourth circuit element was proposed by Leon Chua in 1971 (Prodromakis et al. in Nat Mater 11:478–481, ).
