In the present transcribed, edited and annotated talk, expert senior botanist Luis Poveda Álvarez reminds us that we cannot be too careful when guarding our traditional knowledge. Even though some might detect, in his passionate exposition, an old-generation angst of foreign companies stealing local knowledge for profit, his worries do indeed remain quite valid today.
