We have much to gain by examining violence and the ways women and girls have been its target. Abuse takes many forms, resulting in an array of challenges. The authors in this volume explore the extent of violence against women and demonstrate why transformation is imperative. The book is set out in four parts: (1) sexual assault, (2) harassment and medicalized violence, (3) domestic violence, and (4) media violence, pornography, and prostitution.
