Medial Elbow (Pitcher’s and Golfer’s Elbow) Denervation

Abstract

The anatomy of the innervation of the medial humeral epicondyle is described, and related, clinically to “pitcher’s elbow” and “thrower’s elbow.” Nerve block of the nerve to the medial humeral epicondyle is described. Confounding clinical decisions related to cubital tunnel syndrome and intraneural ganglion are discussed. The technical approaches to denervation of the medial humeral epicondyle are described and illustrated. The results of medial humeral epicondylar denervation are presented.
