Abstract
In this chapter, we have study the oscillator in driven mode, in which the oscillator is connected to an external periodic signal generator (a nonzero input). We use the van der Pol oscillator (VDPO) to study the coupling and derive the equations for the oscillation frequency, amplitude and phase. We consider both the series and parallel topologies of the VDPO, since we want to apply the results to the study of the coupled RC-oscillator (which is modeled by the series VDPO) and the two-integrator oscillator (modeled by the parallel VDPO).
