Abstract

In the following chapter first the theoretical tools used in this thesis are discussed and afterwards the principle of simulating a physics event for a proton–proton collision is introduced.

    The largest part of the radiation happens under small angles (collinear) and for low energies of the radiated partons (soft). Here divergences occur which are handled by the parton shower models.
