Abstract
Primary chemotherapy (PCT) was introduced as an experimental approach for the treatment of locally advanced (LABC) and inflammatory breast cancer (IBC) at this institution in 1973. It was our hypothesis that PCT would simultaneously downstage the patients and control micrometastases [1].
