Résumé

La question de l’allaitement maternel (AM) après cancer du sein (CS) à côté de sa dimension symbolique se pose régulièrement car :

  • le pronostic du CS des femmes jeunes s’améliore;

  • des efforts sont consacrés à la préservation de la fertilité;

  • la conservation mammaire est privilégiée;

  • les patientes mieux informées à la fois de leur maladie et des bienfaits de l’AM n’en font plus un tabou;

  • l’age de la première grossesse à terme en France atteint 30 ans [1].
