Résumé

Les infections de la peau et des parties molles recouvrent de multiples entités en fonction des structures anatomiques intéressées et des agents infectieux en cause. La plupart d’entre elles sont localisées et bénignes. Seules les infections extensives, comprenant d’emblée ou dans leur évolution une nécrose tissulaire et un retentissement général majeur intéressent le réanimateur. Même si leur fréquence reste modérée, leur gravité demeure importante car elles continuent à être mal connues dans leurs signes de début et mal traitées dans leur prise en charge initiale.
