Abstract
Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction is one of the most frequently performed major orthopedic procedures in the young adult population. In North America, the incidence of acute ACL tears is around 1/3000 per annum, and more than 100,000 ACL repairs are performed annually (1). The main goal of this surgery is to provide an excellent functional stability and a durable reconstruction for an active and high-demanding population.
