Tumeurs de la trompe de Fallope

Les cancers primitifs de la trompe sont des tumeurs rares, représentant entre 0,3 et 1,1% des tumeurs gynécologiques (1). L’incidence annuelle ajustée à l’âge entre 1998 et 2003 aux États-Unis était de 4,1 par million de femmes (2). Une étude finlandaise suggère que son incidence ajustée à l’âge augmente: 5,4 par million de femmes entre 1993 et 1997 contre 1,2 entre 1953 et 1957 (3). Ces données d’incidence peuvent avoir été faussées par les critères de définition qui attribuent à l’ovaire les formes avancées prenant «en masse la trompe et l’ovaire». Il est cependant 10 à 20 fois moins fréquent que le cancer de l’ovaire. Il s’agit dans la grande majorité des cas d’adénocarcinomes. Les autres types histologiques sont exceptionnels (tumeurs mixtes mullériennes, choriocarcinomes, sarcomes). Quatre-vingt pour cent des adénocarcinomes tubaires sont de forme papillaire séreuse (4).
