Tumeurs transitionnelles de la prostate

Résumé

Les tumeurs à cellules urothéliales transitionnelles (TCC) sont le plus fréquemment diagnostiquées au niveau de l’épithélium de la vessie et représentent le sous-type anatomopathologique le plus fréquent des cancers de la vessie. Cependant, ces tumeurs peuvent aussi prendre leur origine au niveau de tout l’urothélium: haut appareil urinaire, urètre postérieur ou canaux excréteurs prostatiques. Les TCC prostatiques primitives sont beaucoup plus rares que les cancers de la vessie. La plupart du temps, les lésions de TCC de la prostate sont synchrones ou métachrones d’une tumeur de la vessie. Les TCC de la prostate sont donc définies comme des tumeurs primitives de la prostate à cellules transitionnelles sans envahissement de la vessie.
