Abstract

Upper-level features associated with the 20 snowstorms are examined in this chapter. The analyses are derived from 850-, 700-, 500-, 300-, and 200-mb NMC charts. They are designed to provide an overview of the geopotential height, wind, and temperature fields that are indicative of the upper-level dynamical and thermodynamical processes associated with the storms.
