Abstract
Restless legs syndrome (RLS) is currently defined as [1]:
-
An urge to move the limbs with or without sensations
-
Worsening at rest
-
Improving with activity
-
Worsening in the evening or night. The diagnosis of RLS is exclusively based on these four criteria, all of which are required to make the diagnosis. A validated diagnostic phone interview [2], rating scales [3] and quality-of-life scales [4] have all been developed based on these features.
