A Conceptual Framework for the Analysis of Supply Chain Risk
In recent years, firms have paid more and more attention to their exposure to disruptive events with rare incidence and high impact, also known as disruptions. We propose a detailed conceptual framework for analyzing risks proactively. This preparedness then gives a firm the ability to respond to the occurred disruption by reducing its effect more quickly. Moreover, the framework can be applied after a disruption has occurred supporting event management in a reactive way. It helps to adapt to new and unforeseeable conditions in a faster way.
