This research work has initially been focused toward a comprehension and an improvement in MT clutch-related driving comfort. Since the simple mechanical solutions initially proposed have not been deemed sufficient, attention has been put to more complex active systems comprising an actuator acting directly on the clutch’s fingers allowing at least a partial decoupling from the clutch-pedal position.
