Abstract

A true intraluminal intravesical abnormality that is not attached to the bladder wall is an uncommon finding (apart from bladder calculi), and should be differentiated from a mass or abnormality arising from the bladder wall. This is best confirmed by ensuring that the abnormality is mobile, by asking the patient to move to an alternative position during ultrasound scanning.
