Patient

This is a 32-year-old female soccer player, suffering of syncope of unknown origin. In the summer of 2001 she had a loss of consciousness while running (the heart rate was reported to be 155–160 bpm). According to her teammates, she was not responding for 2–3 min. The environment temperature was reported to be particularly warm, and general measures were done in the field; she also had infusion therapy, but no hospital admission was advised.
