Abstract

When speaking about environmental optimisation of a product’s lifetime, two feasible strategies come to mind:

• Extending the lifetime of the product (and/or its components): designing longperforming artefacts.

• Intensifying the usage of the product (and/or its components): a design that would lead the artefacts to be exploited more frequently, minimising the time of non-usage.
