Abstract
Strictly speaking, these are specialist pursuits; the precise measurement of positions and the precise measurement of brightness, respectively, do not come within the scope of this book. Despite the fact they are but a part of the loose collection of techniques glorying in the increasingly inaccurate name photogrammetry — image mensuration or measurement — it would be unreasonable to ignore them and their great value.
